Lost: "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" (Feb. 28 '07)

Ah yes, redemption through a road trip. That's more like it…

Finally, a lighter-toned episode of my second favourite show on
television!
RE-CAP: Hurley flashbacks to his relationship with his father and the
"bad luck" that followed his lottery win. He finds an old VW microbus
on the island, complete with the skeleton of its previous owner and lots
of 20(?) year old beer. Hurley (with help from Jin, Charlie, and
Sawyer) gets the van jump started by suicidally driving it down a grass
covered cliff and then doing donuts in a pristine green field.

Some humour- maybe that's what I've been missing from Lost since the
half-season premiere.

What we learned about the others this episode: Well nothing really.
But, it's reasonable to use the van to gain some insight into the Dharma
Initiative back story. When things started to go (very) poorly for
Dharma they left (or were all killed) in a relatively short period of
time. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been difficult for them to retrieve
the guy's body from the van. Presumably, when it crashed 20 (?) years
ago, it wouldn't have been as hard to find the van and the body. Also,
does the idea of taking a VW microbus full of beer alone into the hills
strike anyone else as an apocalyptic thing to do?

Here are some of your answers to last week's "Who's your favourite
other?" question:
1) Ben (C.C. from my old work).
2) Alex (Super Mom)
3) Tom (me!)

B.
